I went back and looked at all the new material to add to the updated version of the Satanic Gourmet Cookbook. Originally, the table of contents was:
- BOOK OF SATAN- The Infernal Recipes
I Shiva’s Sauces Dips and Spreads
II Belphagor’s Bread and Eggs
III Forbidden Fruits and Vegetables
IV Beezlebub’s Beef, Chicken and Pork
V Dagon’s Delights from the Deep
VI Sammual’s Soups and Salads
VII Thoth’s Treats
VIII Pazuzu’s Potions
-THE BOOK OF LEVIATHAN- The Raging Drinks
-THE BOOK OF LUCIFER- Satanic Holiday Celebrations
-THE BOOK OF BELIAL- The Mastery of Entertaining
There are some other goodies in there but that is the basic structure of contents.
At the DC Conclave, I gave out as gifts, a collection of Five Years of the Cookie Monster Club, a collection of recipes I had tested and experimented with for a subscription gift for Thomas.
We then continued the subscription club but with new themes and content. We renamed it "The Guinea Pig Club" and each year was different, resulting in a collection of twelve recipes for that year (one a month). The years were:
Healthy Snacks
Stuff in a Jar
Bread
Coffee Cake
Scones
I've gone ahead and pulled the content for each of the Guinea Pig Club years as well as the content from the Cookie Monster Club so I have a healthy set of new material to share once it's all consolidated. I am also looking at updating all the artwork now that I have a fancy drawing tablet and software I have been using for other things.
The original Satanic Gourmet Cookbook cover was hand done with a rubber stamp I cut myself using a small knife to carve a stamp block. I hand stamped each cover and added hand accent using silver paint.
If I have a hard cover print on demand option and pdf, this will result in a redo of the cover as well. Although, I still have that original stamp block and depending on this and that, I might consider creating some old school spiral cookbook bound (think old 50s-70s retro) editions of 2.0 with hand done covers again...
But first, content.
AND OMG I am cringing at spelling errors I am finding. Yikes. Sorry. I was young and oi! Fixing them as I go back and find them. The original material is in a file format I no longer have software to read so I am cutting and pasting from my pdf copies I printed from.
It's been kind of fun to go back and go through all the old material. Revisit the stories and think of updates to those as well.
